Our Statement of Faith
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the verbally inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It reveals God's will, teaches His plan of salvation, and is the final authority for faith and life. Scripture must be interpreted through Jesus Christ.

We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son, fully God and fully man. He is the Savior of all who place their faith in Him.

Salvation
We believe people are saved by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift of God and cannot be earned by works.

The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, regenerates believers, indwells them, empowers them for godly living, and unifies the church.

The Church
We believe the church is made up of baptized believers, equal in standing and responsibility, committed to fulfilling Christ's mission. The church governs itself under the leadership of Christ.
Christian Living
We believe Christians are called to live in obedience to God, to grow spiritually, to share the gospel, and to serve one another in love.

Cooperation
While governed independently, we cooperate with other Baptist churches and associations that share the same faith and mission, including the Southern Baptist Convention.
Meet our Pastor
Bernard Millhouse
Senior pastor
Pastor Bernard Millhouse and his family arrived in Delta Baptist Church in January 2021. His heart's cry is Habakkuk 2.14 “For the whole earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.” Through preaching and teaching of the good news of Jesus Christ, he seeks to inspire and motivate God’s people to know, love and serve Him for His glory alone.
